Korbo.Lorbo.Jeetbo.

Yes IPL fever has caught me from the past 10 days or so. And I am supporting the Dada-SRK-Buchanan combination of the Kolkata Knightriders (KKR). Thought the Knightriders lost their last match, I am sure they will bounce back. Other teams which look good are – Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and to some extent the Delhi Daredevils. The Australians have played very well till now in the tournament. There are many new youngsters who have impressed like Abhishek Nayar and others. The Deccan Chargers could also be dangerous – Gilly’s innings was just destructive and decimated and demoralised the opposition like anything. For the poor Mumbai Indians, Sachin’s absence is a big worry. When will we get to see Sachin play a Sharjah-like innings? When will he open with Sanath Jayasuriya? The Mumbai Indians have definitely been the weakest team till now. But who knows what may happen 2morrow? We all know One Match can change it all, especially in this format of the game. It has been interesting to see the likes of Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Darren Lehmann, Nuwan Zoysa and many others…..The first few days have seen everything – Great Matches, Great innings, mismatches, controversies (Slapgate!!!)……So the IPL Fever continues.

Rishikesh and Haridwar

Last weekend (i.e. 5th and 6th April) I had gone to Rishikesh and Haridwar along with my family. We had a great time, thanks to the cool weather on Saturday. We left for Rishikesh early morning on Saturday and reached by around noon. Did White Water Rafting there while it was raining!!! Yes, it was a truly adventurous experience. At Rishikesh, also visited the famous Ram and Lakshman Jhoolas and did some local sightseeing. Saw the holy Ganges, the water in the river was really cold. The scenery from our hotel was great – the hills, the Sun and the holy Ganges flowing in between. The place was also quite peaceful – a great place to relax, I would say. Visited Har-Ki Pauri and the famous ghats in Haridwar the next day, only for a brief period of time. Rushed to Delhi and reached by around 10 PM. More detials and photos later.
